Pictory has three self-serve plans in 2026: Starter at 29 dollars a month (25 billed yearly) with 200 video minutes a month, Professional at 59 dollars a month (35 billed yearly) with 600 video minutes, and Team at 199 dollars a month (119 billed yearly) with 1,800 video minutes and three or more users. Enterprise is quoted by sales. Video minutes are generous. The limits you hit first are premium ElevenLabs voice minutes, AI credits, and the time you spend finishing each video in the storyboard editor.

Pictory sells its plans in video minutes, which makes the bill look simple. It is simple, up to a point. This breakdown lays out every plan, explains which of the three meters (video minutes, voice minutes, AI credits) actually caps your output, and works out what a finished video costs at different volumes. Plan prices and allowances come from the Pictory pricing page. Details Pictory does not print on that page, such as trial terms and credit pack prices, are marked as reported by third-party reviews.

The yearly discount is small on Starter (about 14 percent) and large on the two upper plans (about 40 percent). That gap is deliberate: at 35 dollars a month billed yearly, Professional costs only 10 dollars more than Starter and triples the video minutes, adds five brand kits, and adds unlimited standard voices. Month to month, the same step costs 30 dollars. If you plan to use Pictory for a full year, Professional billed yearly is the plan most buyers end up on.

How much does Pictory cost?

Pictory costs 29 dollars a month on Starter, 59 dollars on Professional, and 199 dollars on Team when billed monthly. Billed yearly, the same plans cost 300, 420, and 1,428 dollars a year, which is 25, 35, and 119 dollars a month. Enterprise pricing is custom and, according to third-party reviews, starts at 10 users.

Two costs sit outside the plan price. Extra AI credits are sold in packs, reported at 25 dollars for 500 credits up to 199 dollars for 5,000. API access is a separate plan, reported at about 79 dollars a month billed yearly. Third-party reviews also report that annual plans are non-refundable, so read the terms before you commit to a year.

What Pictory video minutes, voice minutes, and AI credits cover

Pictory runs three separate meters, and each one caps a different thing:

  • Video minutes are spent when you export. A one-minute video costs one minute. Reviews citing the Pictory help center say previews, edits, and in-account shares are free, and monthly minutes reset on the first of the month. If you download the same video in several aspect ratios, each download is its own export.
  • ElevenLabs voice minutes cover the premium AI voices. On Starter that is 720 minutes a year, or about 60 a month, which is less than a third of the 200 video minutes. Professional and Team add unlimited standard voices in seven languages, so the premium cap matters less there.
  • AI credits pay for generative extras: AI images, avatars, and AI Studio video. They are not needed for a standard script-to-video or blog-to-video project with stock footage. Avatars are billed in 30-second steps and partial use rounds up, per the same reviews.

For a typical buyer making stock-footage videos from scripts or blog posts, the order you run out is: premium voice minutes first (on Starter), then your own time, and video minutes last. Few people ever export 200 minutes of finished video in a month.

What one finished video costs on Pictory

Here is the monthly bill at three volumes of one-minute videos, each published in three aspect ratios (vertical, square, and landscape) and voiced with a premium voice. The flat VidUp plans are included for comparison, because they are priced by finished video instead of by minute.

80Professional: 240 export minutes, unlimited standard voices59 / 35 dollarsPro, 4K, multiple brand kits, 2 to 3 seats89 / 71 dollars

Read the table honestly: on raw subscription cost, Pictory is cheap for volume, and at 40 or more videos a month it costs less than VidUp. Where the two differ is the work between pasting the text and posting the file. Pictory builds a storyboard you review scene by scene, swap clips in, and export per size. VidUp returns the finished video in one render, already sized 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, with no editor. If you enjoy the editor, Pictory Starter is good value. If each video takes you 20 minutes of scene fixes, that time is the real price.

Which Pictory plan should you buy?

Buy Starter if you publish fewer than about 50 short videos a month, work alone, and are happy with one brand kit. Watch the premium voice minutes; they are the cap you will feel.

Buy Professional billed yearly if you will use Pictory for twelve months. At 35 dollars a month it is the best value in the lineup, with unlimited standard voices, five brand kits, custom avatars, and voice cloning. Month to month at 59 dollars it is harder to justify unless you need those features right away.

Buy Team only when three or more people need their own logins in a shared workspace. Pictory Starter and Professional are single-user plans, so a second editor means a Team plan or a second subscription.

Skip Pictory if what you want is a finished video, not a project. That is the case VidUp is built for.

When a flat text-to-video plan is the better buy

Pictory and VidUp start from the same inputs: a script, a blog post, or a URL. The difference is what comes back. VidUp turns the text into a finished short with an AI voiceover, burned-in captions, licensed stock footage matched to each line, and background music, in every aspect ratio from one render. There is no storyboard to review and no meter of any kind. Starter is 19 dollars a month (15 billed yearly) for about 15 to 20 videos, Growth is 39 (31 billed yearly) for about 50 with a brand kit, and Pro is 89 (71 billed yearly) with 4K, multiple brand kits, and 2 to 3 seats.

VidUp does not do everything Pictory does. It has no editor, no avatars, no voice cloning, and no long-form video; it is built for shorts from 15 seconds to a couple of minutes. If you need a 20-minute webinar recap or want to adjust every scene by hand, Pictory is the better tool. If you turn one blog post a day into a short and would rather not open an editor, the flat plan saves the hours.

Blog-to-video only works when the posts exist. If writing them is the real bottleneck, an AI SEO agent that drafts and publishes the blog content fixes the input side, and then every post can become a video.

If you are comparing before a switch, the Pictory alternative with flat pricing page lists who should switch and who should stay, and VidUp vs Pictory goes feature by feature. The blog to video feature shows how a post becomes a short, and the pricing models across the whole category, including InVideo and Opus Clip, are in how much AI video generators cost. Current VidUp plans are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions about Pictory pricing

Is Pictory free?

No. Pictory has no free plan, only a free trial. Third-party reviews describe the trial as 14 days with 15 export minutes, videos capped at five minutes, and 720p exports. After the trial, the cheapest paid plan is Starter at 29 dollars a month, or 25 dollars a month billed yearly.

How much is Pictory per month?

Pictory is 29 dollars a month on Starter, 59 dollars on Professional, and 199 dollars on Team when billed monthly. Billed yearly, those plans are 25, 35, and 119 dollars a month. Enterprise is custom priced. Starter and Professional include one user; Team includes three or more.

What is the difference between Pictory Starter and Professional?

Professional triples the video minutes (600 a month against 200), doubles the premium voice minutes, adds unlimited standard voices, raises AI credits tenfold, and includes five brand kits, 18 million stock clips, custom avatars, and voice cloning. Billed yearly it costs 10 dollars a month more than Starter.

Do Pictory video minutes roll over?

No. Monthly video minutes reset on the first day of each month, according to reviews citing the Pictory help center. Yearly plans receive the whole year of minutes upfront, 2,400 on Starter and 7,200 on Professional, so heavy months can borrow from light ones. Credit rollover rules are described inconsistently, so do not count on it.

Is Pictory worth the money?

Pictory is worth it if you want an editor to adjust stock-footage videos scene by scene, especially long ones, because its video minutes are cheap. For short marketing videos made in volume, a flat plan that returns a finished video in one pass often costs less once your editing time is counted.
