Colossyan has three plans in 2026: Starter at 0 dollars with 20 video minutes a month and a Colossyan watermark, Professional at 59 dollars a month billed yearly or 89 dollars month to month for one editor, and Enterprise at a custom price. A second and third editor on Professional add 30 dollars each a month on the yearly plan and 45 dollars on the monthly plan. Minutes are counted on generated video only, and unused minutes do not roll over.

Colossyan is an AI avatar platform built for corporate training: a presenter reads your script, and you export the result as an MP4 or a SCORM package for your LMS. So the thing you are really buying is minutes of avatar video, plus the right to download them without a watermark and drop them into a course. The directories that rank for this query still show the old lineup (one lists a 27 dollar Starter and an 88 dollar Business plan that no longer exist), so the numbers below were read from the colossyan.com pricing page on October 15, 2026, including the editor-seat prices that only appear when you click the toggle.

The yearly toggle is labeled 34 percent off, and the math checks out: 59 against 89 dollars is a 34 percent cut. The bigger change is that the old paid Starter plan is gone. In its place is a free Starter that Colossyan describes as 27 dollars a month of value, and the cheapest way to get a video without the Colossyan overlay is now Professional.

How much does Colossyan cost per year?

Colossyan Professional costs 708 dollars a year for one editor on the annual plan, 1,068 dollars for two editors, and 1,428 dollars for three. Paid month to month, the same seats add up to 1,068, 1,608, and 2,148 dollars a year. Enterprise is billed annually and quoted by sales, so there is no public number to plan around.

Two rules change how that annual bill feels. On a yearly plan you get the whole year of minutes on day one, so a team that front-loads a compliance refresh in January is not throttled to 30 minutes a month. And annual plans can be canceled, but the money is not refunded: access runs to the end of the paid year. You can also pause an account for up to two months at no charge through support chat.

How Colossyan video minutes work

Colossyan meters output, not effort. Only generated videos count, by their length, and drafts are free, so you can rework a script as often as you like before you render. A few rules decide how far an allowance goes:

  • Two pools, two models. Videos with a NEO2 avatar (the newer, more expressive model) draw from your NEO2 minutes. Videos with a NEO avatar, and videos with no avatar at all, draw from NEO minutes. Professional gets 30 NEO and only 10 NEO2 minutes a month.
  • No rollover. Unused minutes at the end of a billing period are gone.
  • Deleting does not refund. If you render, spot a typo, and delete the video, those minutes stay spent.
  • Each translation counts. Previews are unlimited, but every video generated in a new language counts as one auto translation against the monthly cap.

The practical cap for most teams is the 10 NEO2 minutes. If your training library is built around the newest avatar, Professional covers about two 5-minute modules a month. The only listed top-up is a pack of 600 NEO2 minutes for 1,500 dollars a year on a Professional yearly plan, which is 2.50 dollars a minute.

What one minute of Colossyan video costs

Divide the plan price by the minutes and the gap between the two models shows up fast. These numbers assume you use the full monthly pool and nothing else:

Plan and billingCost per NEO minute (30 a month)Cost per NEO2 minute (10 a month)Cost per minute if you use both pools
Professional yearly, 1 editor (59 dollars)About 1.97 dollarsAbout 5.90 dollarsAbout 1.48 dollars
Professional monthly, 1 editor (89 dollars)About 2.97 dollarsAbout 8.90 dollarsAbout 2.23 dollars

NEO2 add-on pack (1,500 dollars a year)Not included2.50 dollars2.50 dollars

Extra editors do not add minutes. A three-editor team on Professional shares the same 40-minute pool as a solo user, so the per-minute cost doubles while the output stays flat. That is usually the point where a growing L&D team gets pushed toward an Enterprise quote.

Which Colossyan plan should you buy?

Pick by what has to happen to the video after it renders.

  • Starter fits a pilot. You can test avatars, scripts, and translations, but every video carries the Colossyan overlay and there is no SCORM export, so nothing goes to employees in its current form.
  • Professional yearly fits a small training team that ships a few modules a month into an LMS. Five SCORM exports a month is the real limit, more than the minutes, if each video becomes its own course object.
  • Professional monthly only makes sense for a single project you will finish within a quarter. The yearly plan costs the same as eight months of monthly billing, so if you expect to stay longer than that, pay yearly.
  • Enterprise fits anyone who needs SSO, viewer analytics, data residency, or more than three editors. Those features are not available on Professional at any price.

Colossyan vs Synthesia on price

Both sell avatar training video, and they meter it differently. Synthesia Starter is 18 dollars a month billed yearly and its Pro plan is 64 dollars, both on a credit model where 100 credits buy one minute of video. Colossyan Professional is 59 dollars billed yearly with minutes counted directly, and it includes SCORM export, which Synthesia keeps for Enterprise. If SCORM is the reason you are buying, Colossyan gets you there cheaper. The full plan breakdown for the other side is in Synthesia pricing 2026.

When you do not need an avatar at all

A lot of training video is not a presenter reading a course. It is a 60-second explainer of a new expense rule, a safety reminder for the floor, a walkthrough of a policy change, or a short clip for the onboarding email. For those, the avatar is a cost line, not a feature, and the 10-minute NEO2 cap gets in the way of making one clip per procedure.

That is the job VidUp does. Paste the SOP, policy text, or help-center article, and it writes the scenes, generates an AI voiceover, matches licensed stock footage, burns in captions, and adds music, then returns a finished video in 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1. Starter is 24 dollars a month billed yearly for 30 finished videos, with no minute pools and no credits, and Growth adds premium voices and seats at 49 dollars yearly. It is built for short videos, from about 15 seconds to a couple of minutes, so it is a fit for microlearning and announcements rather than a 20-minute certification course. There are no avatars, no SCORM packages, and no translation pipeline, so if those are on your list, Colossyan is the better buy.

The workflow most teams land on: keep long, graded courses in a training suite, and turn every procedure into a short clip with the SOP to video converter, then post them where people already look. If you also need graded tests with scoring, pair the clips with an auto-graded assessment builder instead of paying for interactive minutes. More options are compared in the best AI video generator for training videos, and the full use case is on the AI training video maker page.

Frequently asked questions about Colossyan pricing

How much does Colossyan cost?

Colossyan Professional costs 59 dollars a month billed yearly or 89 dollars billed monthly for one editor, with 30 NEO and 10 NEO2 video minutes a month. Each extra editor adds 30 dollars on the yearly plan or 45 on the monthly plan, up to three editors. Starter is free with a watermark, and Enterprise is custom priced.

Is Colossyan free?

Colossyan has a free Starter plan with 20 NEO minutes and half a minute of NEO2 a month, the full stock avatar library, and brand kits. Every video carries Colossyan branding and there is no SCORM export, so most companies use Starter to test scripts and avatars, then upgrade to Professional before anything reaches employees.

What is Colossyan Enterprise pricing?

Colossyan does not publish Enterprise prices. The plan is billed annually and quoted by sales, and it includes unlimited NEO and NEO2 minutes, unlimited SCORM in streaming and self-contained formats, 4K, viewer analytics, SSO and SAML, EU or US data residency, and a dedicated customer success manager.

Do Colossyan minutes roll over?

No. Unused minutes do not roll over at the end of a billing period, and deleting a generated video does not return its minutes. On an annual plan you receive the whole year of minutes when you buy, so you can spend them unevenly across the year, but they still expire with the plan.

Can you cancel Colossyan at any time?

Monthly plans can be canceled at any time. Annual plans can be canceled too, but they are paid upfront, so access continues to the end of the paid year and unused months are not refunded. Colossyan also lets you pause an account for up to two months for free by asking support.

How much is a Colossyan custom avatar?

Instant custom avatars made from a photo or video are included on every plan, 15 on Starter and 20 on Professional. Studio custom avatars, filmed on a green screen for the highest quality, are an add-on at 1,000 dollars a year according to the Colossyan pricing page.
